Chilpancingo Closed
Chefs are known for their egos, and it seems Generoso "Geno" Bahena deserves that stereotype.
Geno reportedly closed Chilpancingo because he wasn't happy with the reviews it was receiving. He was upset that more mediocre restaurants were getting better reviews than his. A discussion on the restaurant at LTHForum paints a bit of a love it/hate it picture. Several people also commented on how empty the place was, so that may be the more legitimate reason for the closure. Either way, what's done is done.
Don't forget - you've only got until the end of the month to get to Berghoff's (17 W Adams St, 312-427-3170).
