Fun performances populate this new Noir mystery playing at the RPB Rorschach Space just off the Irving Park brown line stop. DEVILS DON’T FORGET is produced by the group The Mammals, who are ambitiously producing a trilogy of Noir inspired works. DEVILS rides a line between natural and supernatural, noir and realism.  The story follows Buster, a paranoid amnesiac who simply knows that he’s done something wrong, terribly wrong, and wants nothing more than to keep on forgetting. Populating his world are gangsters, tough bartenders, and femme fatales, all in keeping with the Noir sensibilities of the script.

Adding a certain je ne sais quoi is the wonderful elevator ride up to the performance space. The antique lift is straight out of DIAMONDS ARE FOREVER. Happily I didn’t get into any mortal battles with anyone in a bowler hat.
