Disonic - n. [ properly pronounced "dis-sonic" ]: A unique word describing this five piece hard rock unit with its members hailing from the north, south, and west corners of the Chicagoland area. Founded in early 2001, Disonic has strived to combine powerful, hard-driving rhythms with soulful melodies and poignant lyrics in a long-standing effort to maintain the integrity and tradition of their gritty Chicago hard rock scene. While some of their biggest influences can immediately be heard (Sevendust, Nonpoint, Breaking Benjamin, Trapt), the band is quick to demonstrate their diverse range of sound. With the help of their 2006 self-titled EP, produced by John Dolye (Disturbed, Sum 41, Drowning Pool), Disonic tours heavily and enjoys regular mainstream, college, and internet radio airplay. The members of Disonic are Dave Kohut (lead guitar/programming), Chris Reyno (rhythm guitar), Shane Riley (drums), Brian Paz (bass) and Marq Withers (lead vocals).
