Simplistic Urge Formed in 2003 out of Lombard, a small suburb of Chicago. S.U. spent three years searching for the right line-up to create the type of sound it generates today. Tim Flynn-Lead Vocals Mike Styrczula- Guitar and backup vocals Matt Jahns- Guitar and backup vocals John Haracz- Bass Chris DiDomenico- Rhythm All five members have an extensive musical background and enjoy immersing themselves in the Hard Rock music that they perform. In the summer of 2005 SU decided it was time to record an EP. So, they booked three weeks out in Malibu, CA, at the Document Room Studios, (www.documentroom.com), where the band had the opportunity to live out the dream of working in a professional environment as they worked on their up and coming album. The EP, Eight Sided Di, has opened many doors for the band allowing them to play in more upper scale venues such as Chicagos House of Blues and Milwaukees Eagles Ball Room. During 2005, Simplistic Urge had the fortune of performing with many signed artists such as Letter Kills, Chevelle, StutterFly, Adair, and Collective Soul. Being around so many predominant acts has only heightened SU's drive to succeed and spread their music to as many ears as possible. Simplistic Urge was chosen by Q101, Chicagos largest alternative station, to compete in their Local Music Mail Room where listeners can vote online for the best local band, SU won by over 40% winning air time on the radio station. With the summer of 2006 at an end SU has finally finished thier pre-production album featuring four new songs , with this project they hope to be able to create a larger budget so that they can take the next step into a full-time studio and put out a full length album to help with more national coverage. With a strong ethic and good support through friends, family, and fans Simplistic Urge is confident they can only take steps forward without having to look back.
