Steve Arvey started playing music seriously when he was 18 years old. Born in Chicago Arvey moved to Florida to enhance his education.

While in college in Gainesville Florida Steve played with Various Rock and Blues bands and ended up being a sideman playing Bass for the Rock and Roll hall of famer Bo Diddley.

Arvey eventually returned to Chicago, where he worked as a sideman on the Chicago Blues scene.

Then Arvey formed a band called West Side Heat and Released his first Album. The band was very active between 1981-1991 and toured all over the world,

1993 saw the Chicago musical group Monkee Chow emerge. Steve was an intregal part of this band. Monkee Chow was a very popular band in the Chicago area playing many festivals and nightclubs.

With 10 CD's to his name Arvey has traveled the world over bringing his music to Spain, England, Ireland, Scotland, France, Australia, Canada, Costa Rica and Italy. Steve has been signed to Warner Music and has played at the prestiguous Byron Bay Blues and Roots festival in Australia with top name acts Like REM and Dave Matthew's. He also now holds the Record at the Chicago Blues Festival with 7 years of straight performances at the Best Buy Stage. Steve just finished performing at Fringe Festival in Scotland which has the worlds top artists performing. Steve Arvey has been performing at all the top festivals in the world for the last 15 years.
