Summer Tour of Worship Spaces

Tour goers will experience a diversity of worship spaces throughout Downtown Chicago with knowledgeable architectural tour guides. The first tour will take place at Chicago Sinai Congregation located at 15 West Delaware Place. Among other highlights the tour will explore this Temple’s octagonal sanctuary and its five stained glass windows designed by noted architect, Dirk Lohan. Future tours include the Chicago Temple, Downtown Islamic Center, Midwest Buddhist Temple and Seventeenth Church of Christ Scientist, among other significant spaces. The Beautiful Spaces, Sacred Places Chicago tour series is a program of Sacred Space International, a nonprofit organization whose mission is to encourage interfaith understanding through the shared experience and language of architecture.
