Lalo's
map

My first impression when walking into Lalo's was "this place looks fun." It's decorated with lots of blues, yellows and reds, with a brightly lit bar, margarita glasses galore, and a wall of television screens playing, of course, the World Cup tournament. The margaritas are wonderfully smooth. A small is the size of a normal one, the medium is about two, and I didn't even want to see how big a large is!

Most of the cuisine is what you'd expect from a Mexican chain restaurant, but they do have items like Huachinango a la Veracruzana o al Mojo de Ajo, which is a whole red snapper with your choice of two sauces,  and Quesadillas Sincronizadas, quesadillas with ham and cheese.

Lalo's newest location is in the old Michael Jordan Restaurant at 500 N. LaSalle.
